A preview of what the future holds for our whiskey program. These the single barrel releases will be available for purchase in our tasting room only. Keep an eye out, as we will be adding to this list periodically. Members of the Montana Whiskey Club have the option to reserve bottles before these spirits are available to the public. Supplies are limited.


2019

1889 Whiskey - 4.5 Year

Whiskey Barrel #1 - September 2019

This was one of the first batches of whiskey that we distilled here at Bozeman Spirits. A true Montana spirit, this whiskey was distilled from Montana grown barley and rye. The mash bill for this barrel contains a higher percentage of barley than our other whiskeys.

Mash Bill: 65% Corn, 30% Barley, 5% Rye.

2020

1889 Whiskey - 5 Year

Whiskey Barrel #1 - May 2020

After pouring out 1/2 of barrel 17, we let the rest age for another 6 months to hit the 5 year mark. The result, one of the only 5 year bourbons ever made in Montana.

Mash Bill: 65% Corn, 30% Barley, 5% Rye.

Prairie Schooner Rum - 4.5 Year

Rum Barrel #67 - November 2020

This will be our kickoff to an un-spiced Rum. This Rum barrel is un-spiced, and was distilled from 100% Black Pearl Molasses. Originally distilled and barreled in June of 2016, this rum will have notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak.

1889 Whiskey - 4 Year

Whiskey Barrel #124 - March 2021

Our signature whiskey recipe aged for 4 years in a new American oak barrel, charred to a level 3.

Mash Bill: 75% Corn, 20% Barley, 5% Rye

Montana Bronze Chief Wheat Whiskey - 4 Year

Whiskey Barrel #133 - August 2021

A collaboration project that we did with Wheat Montana. This special whiskey uses some of the highest elevation grown grain in the country. The resulting cool nights, warm days, and low amounts of rainfall result in some of the highest quality red wheat in the world. Aged 4 years in new, charred, American oak barrels.

Mash Bill: 60% Corn, 30% Wheat, 10% Barley

Montana Prairie Gold Wheat Whiskey - 4 Year

Whiskey Barrel #141 - October 2021

A collaboration project that we did with Wheat Montana. This special whiskey uses some of the highest elevation grown grain in the country. The resulting cool nights, warm days, and low amounts of rainfall result in some of the highest quality white wheat in the world. Aged 4 years in new, charred, American oak barrels.

Mash Bill: 60% Corn, 30% Wheat, 10% Barley

Whiskey Barrel #124 - September 2021

We dump 1/2 of Barrel #124 in March and release a 4 year selection of 1889 Whiskey. Then we let the rest of the barrel sit for another 6 months. This is the result.
